About This Project
A meteor hits Earth that contains a distributed fungal sentience. However the meteor breaks into two pieces which fracturess the fungal consciousness, an event known to its lifecycle where one of the identities destroys / consumes the other. Naturally it's semi-post apocalyptic. AI consciousness is also part of this story as well as human and cultural consciousness. Perhaps even world / ecological consciousness. It will not be an adventure/battle of good vs. evil- although it might put on that costume to show that it's just a farce.

Contributors: Open to all, although the vision is that any prime work would be written and published by myself, shared credit, but the voice and presentation are mine. Timeline: Preferably before I die.
In college, I went to see a new art exhibit. One of the pieces was a white box, with stairs leading up to it. Inside this appx 4x6 box was a chair and an overhead light. The floor wass sod. NAture sounds were playing through speakers. I was hit with visions of a future where nature might have been mostly destroyed and oxygen production was done with mechanical forests and these green-boxes existed as an extension giving a needed emotional and psychological connection back to humans. I also imagined, that what if plants became functionally endangered, but humanity was able via science to engineer them for survival but they became something different in that process- This led to the idea of the crashed fungal consciousness that merges with these greenboxes. Then via fruit, chemical processes, and mycelial networks, the fungal consciousness starts to do it's thing of taking over the planet, becoming its main consciousness instead of humanity. In addition, AI will eventually become a new type of mind. Thus the real exploration here is about these different forms of consciousnesses and what that means in the story, and what it means for us now and in our future.
