First Light
The opening creation season of Loreweave. First Light has concluded, but this page remains as an archive — the worlds it founded and the collectibles it awarded are permanent parts of the Weave.
What was First Light?
First Light was Loreweave's inaugural creation season, spotlighting Fantasy, High Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Space Opera. Creators who built a project, published a story, or added lore to a canon wiki during the season window earned exclusive First Light collectibles that mark them as part of the founding wave.
Seasons spotlight specific genres but never restrict what you can create. Every genre is always open. The spotlight simply gives a creative lens, curated prompts, and collectible recognition for those who answer the call.
Eligible Genres
First Light spotlighted these genres. Creating in them during the season window earned First Light collectibles.
Origin Story Prompts
Every world has a beginning. Use these prompts as a launchpad for your first story or the foundation of a new setting.
The First Sunrise
Write the creation myth of your world. What existed before dawn? What force, deity, or accident brought light to the void?
The Signal
A message from the edge of known space arrives at the last relay station. It is the oldest transmission ever recorded, and it is addressed to someone who has not been born yet.
The Naming
In your world, names carry power. Write the story of the first being to name itself and what that act of self-definition set in motion.
First Contact, Last Chance
Two civilizations meet for the first time. One is ascending. The other is dying. What do they offer each other in the narrow window before one is gone?
The Cartographer's Folly
A mapmaker discovers that their world is not shaped the way anyone believed. What they draw next will rewrite history.
Year Zero
The first colony ship has landed. Write the founding story of a settlement on an alien world where nothing works the way the manuals said it would.
Worldbuilding Sparks
Already have a world? Expand it with these creation prompts. Build lore, describe landmarks, or document the rules that govern your setting.
The Foundry
Describe the place where your world's most important substance, element, or resource was first discovered. What grew around it?
Find a WorldThe Accord
Two rival factions in your setting once agreed on exactly one thing. Write the terms of that agreement and what happened when it was broken.
Find a WorldThe Station
Build a space station, orbital habitat, or waypoint. Who built it, who lives there now, and what is the one rule everyone knows not to break?
Find a WorldThe Anomaly
Something in your setting does not obey the rules that govern everything else. Document it as a wiki entry: what is it, who studies it, and why has no one tried to destroy it?
Find a WorldThe Old Road
A path through your world connects two places that should never have been linked. Describe the road, who travels it, and what they find along the way.
Find a WorldThe Archive
Create a lore entry for the oldest library, data vault, or memory palace in your setting. What knowledge does it hold? What has been deliberately erased?
Find a WorldCharacter Seeds
Every world needs people. Use these seeds as starting points for characters who carry the weight of creation on their shoulders.
The Reluctant Creator
Someone built a world, a civilization, or a weapon, and now they must live with the consequences. Who are they? What haunts them?
Create a CharacterThe First Witness
The oldest living being in your setting. What have they seen? What do they refuse to speak about?
Create a CharacterThe Stranger at the Gate
A figure arrives from somewhere that should not exist. They carry a single object and speak a language no one recognizes.
Create a CharacterThe Keeper of Names
In a world where identity is power, one person remembers every name that has ever been forgotten. What would they trade for silence?
Create a CharacterFirst Light Collectibles
These profile collectibles were earned by creating during the First Light season. Everyone who earned them keeps them permanently.
